Memphis Grizzlies 100 Final
Recap | Box Score
93 Boston Celtics
Brandon Bass, PF 31 MIN | 2-6 FG | 2-2 FT | 13 REB | 1 AST | 0 STL | 4 BLK | 2 TO | 6 PTS | +1

A defensive difference maker more often than not this season. And a rebound total that would make CelticsHub readers from last year gasp. He’s totally legitimate value for his contract and he’ll be gone by the all-star break.

Jared Sullinger, PF 35 MIN | 10-18 FG | 1-1 FT | 12 REB | 3 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK | 4 TO | 23 PTS | +6

He’s played just 59 career games, so it might be a bit ambitious to suggest he’s on the path to a season-long breakout. But he’s increasingly problematic for defenses to single-cover, even against length and bulk. And he does so many other things right on both sides of the ball. Plus, there’s that whole business about 17 fourth quarter points. Love this guy.

Avery Bradley, PG 32 MIN | 7-13 FG | 0-0 FT | 1 REB | 0 AST | 0 STL | 2 BLK | 4 TO | 16 PTS | +8

Got shredded on the perimeter in the crippling first quarter that effectively decided the game. Decent shooting, better defensive focus from Q2 onwards and a tasty chasedown block almost make it a wash. Almost.

Jeff Green, SG 39 MIN | 9-19 FG | 7-8 FT | 7 REB | 1 AST | 1 STL | 0 BLK | 0 TO | 26 PTS | +3

You could probably rank Green’s games purely by shots taken. If he’s taking a lot of shots, it means he’s active and engaged.

Jordan Crawford, SG 36 MIN | 2-8 FG | 0-0 FT | 1 REB | 7 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK | 2 TO | 5 PTS | -9

Later this year, we’ll be releasing a youtube clip compiling all Crawford’s end-of-quarter perimeter dribbling and desperation heaves. It will be glorious and you will love it.

Kris Humphries, PF 16 MIN | 4-10 FG | 0-0 FT | 6 REB | 0 AST | 0 STL | 1 BLK | 0 TO | 8 PTS | -10

Is anyone else starting to feel some affection for what Humphries brings to the team? Unfortunate that he wasn’t on the last couple of years of Celtics teams. He could have made a major difference off the bench.

Gerald Wallace, SF 23 MIN | 1-5 FG | 0-2 FT | 2 REB | 2 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK | 2 TO | 2 PTS | -10

I registered two domain names after tonight’s game:

But he did make a difference on the defensive end in the comeback.

Vitor Faverani, C 13 MIN | 3-8 FG | 0-0 FT | 3 REB | 0 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK | 0 TO | 7 PTS | -9

Vitor, it’s time you hit the weight room. But you’re showing signs of life even without that rather obvious area for focus.

Phil Pressey, PG 5 MIN | 0-1 FG | 0-0 FT | 1 REB | 0 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK | 0 TO | 0 PTS | -5

Took a back seat to the starters in this one.

Courtney Lee, SG 9 MIN | 0-1 FG | 0-0 FT | 0 REB | 0 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK | 1 TO | 0 PTS | -10

Awesome line score.

And Kidd says 'hit me', has Taylor bump into him, spilling the drink on the floor for a free timeout. I'm glad we have Brad Stevens.

I liked that front court with Hump, Bass and Green in the third. Banging the boards, going to the basket. Memphis really couldn't handle that. So Hump should get more PT as he makes good things happen.

If Rondo is worth 10 points extra, then reverse the W's and L's and Boston are 10-6. Seriously though they should tank and get a good draft pick. Next years draft is loaded, so many good players that the short term pain is worth the long term gain.

IF BRANDON BASS HAS 13 REB and 4 BLK, you should give him more than a FCKING B
