As the Celtics ran through drills in the closing moments of practice though, both Jordan Crawford and Marshon Brooks were missing from the action.
According to Brad Stevens, Crawford will be missing the team’s contest tomorrow night against the Knicks, due to a death in the family. The team planned accordingly for his absence, giving Crawford some extra minutes in last night’s contest, while keeping Phil Pressey on the bench.
Look for Pressey to see plenty of action in Crawford’s absence tomorrow night.
“You’ll see a lot more of Phil Pressey, which is good,” Stevens said. I’m really looking forward to that. I think he’s done a great job. I knew that prior to last night’s game, that’s why I didn’t play Phil last night and played Jordan a couple more minutes.”
Additionally, Marshon Brooks left practice midway through the session, according to Stevens due to a headache and was sent home by trainer Eddie Lacerte. His status for tomorrow night’s game remains up in the air.
Other items of interest: Avery Bradley was seen sporting a wrap on his left hand, but assured reporters he was no worse for the wear after having an X-ray on it last week.
“It’s a little swollen, but I’m fine,” Bradley told reporters.
The Celtics face off with the Knicks tomorrow night in Providence, tipping off at 7:30 P.M. ET.
