It’s (preseason) OPENING NIGHT! Are you guys fired up?!
Fair enough. But in half an hour, the Celtics finally take the floor with all of their new players, roughly one trillion new questions, and a fresh new start. Finally, we can stop “projecting” (a fancy word we like to use instead of “taking a halfway educated stab in the dark”) and start “analyzing” (a fancy word we like to use instead of “armchair coaching”).
Here, reportedly, are the starters for tonight’s game
PG: Avery Bradley (/gulp)
SG: Courtney Lee
SF: Jeff Green
BIGS: Kris Humphries and Brandon Bass (neither of them are really centers so…)
Kelly Olynyk drops 50 in his preseason debut. Jared Sullinger morphs into a mini Shaq. Rondo, dressed in street clothes on the sideline, rips off a tearaway tuxedo to reveal a jersey beneath and takes the floor. Avery Bradley goes back to playing shooting guard where he belongs. The crowd goes bonkers. Boston wins big.
Celtics 100, Raptors 70
This is your open thread. Enjoy the game, everyone.
