Paul Pierce Says Thank You Boston

Paul Pierce will always be a part of Boston. He’s remained silent since his trade to Brooklyn, short of a TMZ video, but made a return to social media today in a big way. In what was an incredibly cool movement earlier this afternoon on Twitter and Instagram, Pierce spent the afternoon posting his favorite photo memories as a Celtic from over the years, ┬ásigning them simply with a #THANKYOUBOSTON.

Pierce also posted this collection of photographs on his YouTube channel that you can check out below. As we are now just two days away from the official introduction of Pierce as a member of the Brooklyn Nets, was good timing to take these in.

  • Nothing any professional athlete ever does on social media w/their fans will EVER top that. Fantastic. God I'm going to miss him. I hope the TD Garden staff put a box of green Kleenex on each chair for the 1st Nets game in Boston, because boy are they going to need them….

Danny will need it as well. If the game is tied with 5 seconds left, you just know Kidd will call #34 to hit a game winner and stare down ainge as he walks away from the court victorious.

  • james patrick

I truly hope he comes back that last year and retires a Celtic… as he should.

  • check12check

very cool. You will always be loved in Boston, Paul.

  • dasein

I like him even more now.

  • Danny

damn had to believe the ride is over, the last 15 years have flown by, been watching pierce since I was 9 copying his moves on the playground. Its like the last piece of my childhood has finally moved on. Only Tom Brady is still standing. Sad. That said I hope Brooklyn wins this year. Always be a pierce fan. #34.
