Post-game Reactions

Right after the Celtics finished up a dramatic Game 5 win over the Knicks at Madison Square Garden, things got a bit touchy again on the Garden floor. Instead of Kevin Garnett getting involved this time around, Jordan Crawford and Raymond Felton were involved in the fray, along with old friend Carmelo Anthony. Take a look:

Not sure who set off the firestorm here (looked to be Crawford) but the best part of this clip has to be Fab Melo lingering after the fact, and Doc Rivers freaking out at him, telling him to get lost.

So what exactly did Crawford say to get everyone all agitated?

There are rumors out there, but we’ll leave them out there as rumors. Carmelo Anthony and Raymond Felton were asked about the confrontation postgame and had a couple interesting responses.

Melo on Crawford: “I’m not thinking about no Jordan Crawford…not at this point in time, I’ll tell you that.” {pause} “I don’t think he deserves for you to be typing [his name] right now.”

Felton on the confrontation: “When you are in playoffs, things get intense sometimes. It was words, nothing serious.”

Bottom line, Crawford needs to know his role here and keep his mouth shut. Starting up any kind of crap when you aren’t even getting any minutes doesn’t help the Celtics try to climb their way back into the series.

Babies belong in the play pen. Serious up, J-Craw. (Nice bait though…)

    • poop

he is just doing what JR is doing. Stirring shit up

Word is that he said "my boy f#$%@d your wife" – I rewound it a couple of times and it was definitely something like that.

Fortunately this means melo will probably come out and shoot 3-28 on contested threes in game 6 trying to make a point.

this is good. crawford messing up melo's head. instead of kg getting into it with him and getting technical fouls or what. this is good for the celtics. need to get under their skin as much as possible!

  • tweed

stupid to run your mouth, but at the same time, there's no camera angle of what was said prior to the "scuffle"

Crawford should be suspended and not re-signed. Classless and clueless. there is a reason that even the Wiz got rid of him.

  • Kel

I liked that. When the Knicks let Jordan Crawford get in their head you know their mental fiber is starting to fray. Better Crawford than someone in the rotation.

Everytime rumors like this come up, all I can think about are cheerios.

  • joeboxershorts

The NBA needs to come down hard on Crawford, since he sucks and the incident was probably designed by Doc Rivers to mess with Melo, the NBA needs to suspend Crawford AND Rivers for game six. This crap has to stop.
