I’m Really Glad Paul Pierce is Still A Celtic: Celtics 110, Jazz 107 (OT)

These guys just won’t quit folks. And they’re fun as hell to watch right now. Brendan will be at you with full reaction and grades shortly. For now though, let’s hear it for The Truth.

    Amen to that.

  • Leonard

Thanks to both Pierce and KG are still Celtics. Without the both of you i have no idea where the Celtics would be today.

It was looking like another late game on the road choke but #34 made shots and #5 rebounded. A huge win.

Ray hit threes, Rondo did crazy passes – but GarnettPierce is the trunk of the tree laid bare.
It's interesting to see the essence just stripped down. I used to be down about all the lost players, and I still am, but in terms of how things could have gone bad, at least they went bad like this.

I don’t knobwabout fun as hell to watch. I actually went to this game & as good as bass played for bass you couldn’t help but have this feeling “no team goes very far with him starting”. I liked the big shots that were hit, didn’t particularly like how everyone was standing around for the last 4 possessions while pierce free lanced. It happened to work to out but it was ugly street ball. Why not hit Avery wide open when he was having a near season high? Again, fun to be a part of but that was pretty ugly basketball. As much as pierce won it with big shots Hayward threw the game away. Pierce was jawing in his face & had to be getting in his head bc he was a different player those last 2 minutes. Terrible shots and bad passes that really screwed jazz offensive continuity.

Same I wouldn’t have it any other way. As infuriating as he can be at times. (You haven’t learned not to throw cross court passes and spin into double teams after 15 years Paul) when u need him nobody steps up more than PIerce. Can’t say enough of the fact that the man is a reptile when it comes to cold blooded was and got balls of steel. He fears no man or moment and that’s what I’ve enjoyed most about him since the late 90s when I first started really watching basketball and the Cs. Hope the ride continues just a little bit longer.

I’ll say there’s nobody else in professional sports this side of Ray Lewis that’d I’d rather go into a hostile environment with those guys battle to the end

Winning a basketball game is like summoning captain planet: you might have all of the weapons, but without heart you aren't going to do anything. KG and Pierce are the two players that really bring heart to this team. Oh, but instead of being a weird, androgynous, Indian dude (pretty sure dude) with a monkey, they are BAMFs
