Rajon Rondo and Kevin Garnett have been voted All-Star starters. KG didn’t make the team last season but will suit up next month for the 15th time in his career. For Rondo, it’s his fourth straight all-star appearance. They’ll be joined in the Eastern Conference’s starting lineup by three of their most heated rivals: LeBron James and Dwayne Wade of the Miami Heat and Carmelo Anthony of the Knicks.
Paul Pierce remains a strong candidate to be selected as an all-star reserve when the coaches announce their choices next Thursday night.
Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, Chris Paul, Dwight Howard and Blake Griffin will start for the Western Conference.
This year’s All-Star Game is set for February 17th in Houston.
