Bad Basketball: Celtics 89, Bulls 100

The good news is that the Celtics took the three point line away from most of the Bulls players.  The bad news is that they sacrificed the paint, the middle of the lane, and the baseline.  The Celtics were just horrible on the defensive end and inefficient on the offensive end.  During the game, Doc Rivers asked them to be aggressive.  Instead of being aggressive on the glass or attaching the rim, they were aggressive in overplaying in one-on-one situations, picked up stupid fouls, and defended the pick and roll terribly.

When I say terribly, I’m specifically talking about the moments when the pick man’s defender would hedge/double so far away from the lane that they had no chance to retreat in time to pick up their man let alone anyone else’s man.   Just bad basketball.

    Not a good look.

@unclejeffgreen is probably one of the worst players in the NBA per salary since Rashard Lewis cleared over 20 million while a member of the Magic. 3 points? 0 rebounds? What the hell did he do out there besides blow coverages? If the Celtics wanted to pay someone $9 million to do nothing, why didn't they just sign one of us? There is little doubt in my mind that a young, upstart Cavs team is going to beat us tomorrow night.

Danny and Doc sat down and decided on this contract for Green… now there's where to lay the blame.

Deng and Noah are playing heavy minutes.and played yesterday…and yet Boston lost. If young Bass, Wilcox, Green, and Sully played like the older KG, we'd be #1 by now. These young players stink.

The boat is sinking, who is going to jump ship. Ray already did.

I find it hard to believe that even when Bradley comes back that this team will magically find "it" and turn it around.

    @ elroz don’t label sully

@ elroz don’t label sully as a slack rookie. I have seen more heart and determination out of him than most of the team most nights. He just needs a little more time to mature

I agree with Rolltide. I like Sully. Not everybody can come out their rookie year and put up 15 and 10. Give him time and he will be a nice big. I like his effort level thus far.
