The news broke last night from Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports

No word yet on who Larranaga might be replacing (if anyone) on the C’s coaching staff. Here’s a little more info on Larranga via GoErie.com

Larranaga led Erie to the D-League playoffs in his two seasons guiding the BayHawks. He couldn’t be reached by phone tonight.
Former NBA head coach Mike Fratello had hired Larranaga to work as an assistant under Fratello in coaching the Ukrainian senior men’s national team in the qualifying round for the 2013 European Championships.

Larranaga had been scheduled to return to Erie in September to prepare for his third season leading the BayHawks. Larranaga had a year remaining on his contract.

    FYI, Celtics Sign Jeff Green!

  • Boston played well to start the eighth for the first three spots, the injuries to John Lackey and Daisuke Matsuzaka, and perhaps MVP runner-up Jacoby Ellsbury as well.
He believes that through his newly formed organization
he’ll be able to plan and lead for today’s successes while simultaneously planning for his organization’s future
successes. But once we were at that point, we felt like we had to get better.
