Post-game Reactions

The Celtics got best player in the world’ed tonight as LeBron James put up 45 points on 19 of 26 shooting and added 15 rebounds for good measure.

The Celtics were never closer than hanging around at any point during the game. The offense was a series of lowlights. Paul Pierce went 4-18, an uncomfortably familiar line for him this series. Kevin Garnett seemed tight and out of rhythm all night and finished 6-14. Ray Allen was only 3-7. Even Rajon Rondo forced passes where angles didn’t exist and slopped the ball around for 7 turnovers.

The Celtics deserved to lose this game and the Heat deserved to win it.

So, we’re headed to game 7 in Miami on Saturday night.

Hope you didn’t have any other plans.

Well my other plans were to celebrate a win with a few drinks, now it's turned into drowning my sorrow and hoping I don't have the same hangover as the Celtics will have tomorrow.

    "Let's Go, Celtics! … Let's Go, Celtics! … Let's Go, Celtics! … Let's Go, Celtics!"

In one sense, that knockdown, we're at a good seven or eight in the ten count.

In another sense, it's a whole new fight Saturday night.

Either way it's on us to rise up.

    Fight night!

Just heard B. Robb post-game. Good q for Doc. I agree with Coach. Half or more of it was just plain us.

      What was the question?

      • High Rollers

He asked about our three point shooting and if those were the shots we wanted, if I remember correctly. Doc said maybe half, but in general the ball stuck too much. Just because it looked like we were taking an open shot, it wasn't necessarily the shot we were looking for or the shot we should be taking. I should stop there because this is getting into serious paraphrase territory. Anyway, it was a good question and answer.

Don't worry I just cleared my Saturday schedule
I'm at peace with this loss, tough to stop the best player in the league playing at 200%
    We can win in 7

In all honesty, what wouldve been worse – Celtics losing a close one in game 6 at home or getting embarrassed and losing by 21 at home? I definitely think the former because they are going to come out pissed off and very angry in game 7, as opposed to thinking they did their best in game 6 but just weren’t good enough….I really hope this isn’t just wishful thinking. But in the end, the NBA fandom gets what they wanted; game 7…LETS GO BOSTON.
