Highlight Gallery: C’s 107 Nets 94

Since the Celtics have returned to creating highlights this week, we’ve returned to posting them.

4. Deadly Off A Steal

Rajon Rondo has a great nose for the ball and once he gets it off this turnover, it’s really just a matter of who gets the layup. In this case, it’s Mickael Pietrus.

3. How To Demoralize Your Opponent

The Nets, ably aided by one Gerald Green (more on him after the jump) trap Paul Pierce on the perimeter as the shot clock winds down. They force a tough shot which misses. And then Chris Wilcox snatches up the rebound and powers it down for an And-1. Down the stretch of a playoff game, this kind of thing can break the back of a defense.

2. Tonight’s Garbage Time Selection

I think we’d all like to see more of JaJuan Johnson because every time he gets any run he seems to come up with a slick offensive move, a pretty jumpshot or, in this case, a backdoor cut and thunderous oop to complete Keyon Dooling‘s alley.

1. The Classic

This is basically my Platonic Ideal for the Celtics offense. Defensive stop or steal, Rondo racing up the gut of a scrambling defense, a big with a rim run, a wing spotting up for a three and a trailer to clean up any potential misses.

0. Gerald!

Admit it. You loved seeing him out there. And some of you still want him back in green.

  • Sure wouldn't mind a few Gerald Green dunks now and again..
