Bulls at Boston
8:00 P.M. ET
Getting off to another bad start…
Seems like the change in the starting lineup isn't making much of a difference, they're still missing make-able shots so far.
so apparently we can't defend the pick n roll anymore?
Does anyone have a rebounding gong I can bang?
I don't think you could buy a rebound these days for this team.
Looks like I'll be drinking early if this keeps going the same way as it is now.
damn! forget about tactics and playbook! these guys need some shooting drills!!!
This is making me long for the days of ML Carr's team. Were's Eric Montross and Acie Earl when you need them.
No 1 task is to bring it to within 10 by half time…
23-10 on the boards. Why on earth is Stiemsma not getting run tonight?
Why has Stiemsma not seen the floor yet? -_-
Doc needs to either start him or bump him up to at least 25 minutes a game
Just give the ball to Ray from here on out.
reaching for the whiskey – need to numb the pain!!!!
Vodka here on the left coast!
No boards and no shooting, C's need to man up.
OH IT'S OOON NOW!
one point game…Let's go Celtics!!!!!
pierce trying to play hero ball. cmon guys. what the hell?? this is more frustrating than getting blown away
why switch to zone all of a sudden when regular defense was killing it?? head scratching move by doc.
This is going down the same pattern – terrible start, comes back, falls short.
Too much DRose
Back to the drinking I guess.
14 points from the bench is not gonna get it done C's
I been telling cats our bench wasn't good enough, but somehow they thought names on paper could get it done.
So what are we lookin at? Big mid season trade? Top ten pick?
Damn this team…
A trade needs to happen if this season is going somewhere. I love the way Rondo is playing this season but I wouldn't be opposed to trading him for a scoring pg (e.g. Russell Westbrook). We're probably the worst offensive team in the league right now. Rondo is great but he's just not what the team needs right now consider the lack of offensive weapons around him. Look at Derrick Rose, who struggled for most of the game tonight but took over offensively in the 4th quarter when the game gets close. We need a player like that.
Not saying we have to trade Rondo, but we need someone who can create shots not just for his teammates, but also for himself. Pierce used to be able to do that but I don't know is it father time or his heel, he's lost it. He has no lift and got blocked like 5 times tonight. Hopeful the captain can get back to his all-star form soon.
Yeah I'm ready to write off KG, but not Pierce yet. I think we'll definitely be getting calls about Rondo+Ray. I just don't think we should trade Rondo unless we're getting all star talent back, or a top draft pick.
Nah, nothing can save us now (ok, maybe Dwight Howard), but we need a complete makeover in the offseason. Just put the Heat @ Nuggets game on for a minute. The Nuggets are probably a worse team than us right now. But still. Guys jumping, running blocking and dunking, just all around fun basketball.
If I want to watch midrange jumpers rim out all afternoon I go down at the playground and shoot them myself.
Right now, with the exception of Rondo and Bass, there's no one in this team that can do anything useful closer than 15 ft to the basket. That makes our offense stagnant, unproductive, and most of all, booooooooriiiiing…
But we have to keep Rondo. He IS the best PG in the league right now along with Rose, averaging a heavy double double, and he's the kind of PG who will make any teammate better. Could you imagine what he could do playing along Iguadala and Smith for example? Not allstars, just good, athletic, explosive players, born in the same decade as Rondo.
You can trade anyone you want. However, no one is going to bring a player back that is capable of this season around for the C's. All that will happen is Ainge taking on salary past this season and screwing the cap space he planned for. The C's would be best served to sit tight and let the contracts expire and start fresh with two 1st rounders and a boatload of money next season. Period.
Kind of how I feel. However Danny is always ready to pull the trigger.
I agree. Danny will probably screw himself. I guess my point is all the game changers are locked up and won't be traded for the little we can offer anyways. Dwight is a board line game changer but he'd be a rental here and it would require us giving up Rondo. I'm no longer prepared to give up Rondo.
They really need to consider long and hard about letting Pierce sit for a while til whatever is physically wrong with him is better. He's really contributing nothing on either end of the floor right now.
