View From The Opposing Bench: Truth About It

The Celtics are off to a fast start.  Let’s talk about it!

I LOVE beating up bad teams

  • Batman

Interesting-McGee and Avery have the same facial structure

  • Greenman

I just saw the news that Demarcus Cousins demanded a trade and the Kings reply by banishing him from the team. Why not lowball the kings with a trade offer? Cousins is a 6'11' asshole, but Doc has had success coaching 6'11' assholes. He has the Kentucky connection with Rondo and you think he could learn a thing or two from KG? Why not send them our 1st round pick (somewhere around 19-25)? We still have the Clippers 1st, somewhere in the 10-18 range. Thoughts?

If that beautiful play for the Cs at 86-75 isn't in the recap I will be horribly disappointed, I need to see that unselfish glory again.

Nice to KG asserting himself more, and doing so successfully though I hate when he settles for tough hooks.

  • Batman

    Trip dub for Rondo
No signs of Rojan Rando in 5 games now

  • X-RIP-X

Assertive Rondo and KG… Gotta love 'em!

  • I_Love_Green

Wow Rajon Rondo! This game was glorious to watch.

Dooling is struggling lately at PG. Turnovers and not so great defense tonight. Of course the way Rondo is playing all PGs look off. Other then that the bench has looked pretty good.

    • I_Love_Green

I think it would be better if he came off the bench for Ray most of the time, and occasionally for Rondo.

      • Batman

        great three point shooter though

        • red

Bradley has started to get more time at backup pg contrary to what rivers said during the off season i think it`s a good move since Dooling can shoot but struggles with his handle

          • I_Love_Green

Wish he'd play Moore more though.

Missed…the game, but glad rondo and KG had good games

  • Chris from Danvers

Great game…..nice to see KG back in form and the new Rondo is looking great again. Dominated against another strong point guard. And Pierce looked nice in limited minutes.

Interesting points on Demarcus Cousins demanding trade. Noticed lot of buzz on that, and even A. Sherrod Blakely was asked about it. He said it might be worth looking into. Although Cousins is a headcase, definitely worth kicking the tires on. It is doubtful that DH is coming here. At $7 million per year, with two team options coming up, he would work into center plans for the future. Put with Doc, solid core, and year of KG, would be fine. Besides, this team already had a headcase in Rasheed Wallace and survived…it would not be a distraction. And, at the price, he'd come somewhat cheap (JO and an Avery Bradley type).

Being that DC was a lottery pick, one of the 2012 1st Rd picks would probably need to included with whatever bodies are offered. If you were Danny, wouldn't you have take a look?

      • Chris from Danvers

Definitely worth a look. Even if you need to give two lukewarm bodies (Avery Bradley and JO) and a pick, I would take a look. Doc + KG + Celtics environment might be what he needs.

There is one drawback that I did not realize. DC and Rondo did have an incident in the past….some good You Tube clips show them jawing.

I have a hard time imagining Cousins will actually get traded. The Kings have essentially scuttled that possibility by airing their dirty laundry in a way that can only reduce Cousins's trade value, thereby allowing them to say "See, we tried to trade you, but could only get crap in return, because everyone knows you are such a knucklehead." That being said, Cousins is a beast, and if the Cs can get him for something low, then you have to do that. I wouldn't think that SAC would do it for one mediocre draft pick. Maybe the Cs pick and JO? I still don't see him going anywhere.
