Post-game Reactions

If you don’t want to miss anything, don’t go to sleep.  Sage advice.

Unfortunately in my old age, I can no longer function on limited sleep and need at least 7 hours in order to keep my Mogwaian figure.  Because of this vanity, I missed a little news nugget from last night’s game.  Apparently, Chris Wilcox (you know, that guy Danny Ainge spent all 3 mil of the MMLE on) bruised his shoulder during last night’s contest and will miss time.

Here’s A. Sherrod Blakely from CSNNE:

The latest victim is Chris Wilcox, who suffered a bruised left shoulder injury in the first half of Tuesday’s 115-107 loss to the Miami Heat.

“He got hit (in the shoulder) pretty bad,” said coach Doc Rivers. “I know they think that it’s a deep bruise.”

That means Wilcox is unlikely to play on Wednesday, and depending on the severity of the injury, he may wind up missing even more time.

If I know anything about Danny and his treatment of big men with shoulder issues, he will most likely trade for someone who will underwhelm us.

    I had the over/under at 31 wins.

May need to revise that number downward.

38-28 rebound deficit. Gonna be a loooooong short season.

You know it is going to be a looooooong season when one celtic commentator has taken to criticizing a heat blogger for not being critical enough about the heat nearly blowing a 20 point lead.

    Yikes.

Is that what is going to get us excited this year (and the foreseeable future), putting up a good fight?

Sounds like we’ve skipped the late 80s and early 90s and gone straight to the late 90s early 2000s!!!

Does anyone else think Chris looks like Sheed in that pic?

One banner and 4 years of crushing injuries….Danny should consult some seers or top-notch psychics about his decisions – signing JO, moving Perkins over two guys that are not even playing now (ouch!)…not keeping the tough 2008 players (House, TA, Posey, Perkins)

Sad…this team has no luck…any hopes the fans had were dealt a blow by Jeff Green's issue, Pierce continuing injury (it will not go away by Friday or by February 2012)….and now Wilcox.

And we have not even played the first three games yet!
One only wonders what it will take to get Doc to play Stiemsma?
I'm afraid to consider it…but given the horrid luck of this bunch, we will find out in the next week or so.
The only debate should be which season was plagued by more injuries: 2008-09, 2009-10, or last year?
