Post-game Reactions

Our good friend and former CelticsHub writer Zach Lowe of The SI Point Forward Blog made light of the entertaining incident of Sunday’s matinee contest. Makes you wonder what kind of stuff KG did around the house with no NBA around:

I’ve had maybe two conversations with Garnett, so I don’t know him at all, and he certainly has no idea who I am. If you follow me on Twitter, you know Garnett’s face serves as my avatar, and that’s in part because he is one of my all-time favorite players, based simply on his on-court contributions. I have never seen a better defensively player in my lifetime, and I learned a lot about how team defense can work by watching Garnett. He plays with unusual intensity, and it seems clear now he has to go to some scary places — some borderline inhuman places — to fuel that intensity. Poor Andrea Bargnani is the latest victim, and he didn’t seem all that upset about it.

This is KG, once and forever.

Check out Zach’s full post on it here.

I wonder did any of you guys catch BBD with the magic last night without the big 3 getting him wide open shots he looks even worse offensively and he still doesn`t block out.
i don`t think it is going to end well in Orlando because he was always immature here but he had a support system with KG and Doc but in Orlando with the money he`s being paid the Magic are going to be expecting a upgrade but it seems to me like they downgraded while taking on more salary Tony Allen really is the only player you can argue has been better post big 3 even perk struggled last year i`m still worried about rondo post big three

      Don't worry
      He'll still be our beast

Rondo and Perkins are two of the most overrated players in NBA. They are average at best. It is ridiculous that people consider them great players because they've won a championship. They can't do sh** without the Big 3 covering their ass.

        u suck

So Rondo carrying a team to the Finals is overlooked?

        • Batman

A very good team but still

Which year are you talking about?

          • Jzr

            Clearly 2010.

THe argument could be made that Rondo lacks mental fortititude as shown in his sharp decline after the Perkins trade, but you obviously don't watch the celtics if you think Rondo is overrated when he's playing at his peak. The first half of the season he was the best PG in the league. IF he can maintain composure, even if he's called a top 5 PG he's not overrated… that said, there's not many that will put him top 5 so overrated… no.

honestly, i don't think the celts are gonna win a title this year, sadly. but i'm STILL gonna enjoy this as the last hurrah for the big 3. what a wonderful five seasons! thank you, guys! reminds me of the time in '92 when the OLD big 3 still lugged it up for what eventually became their swan song. i was still too young to know much then, but i remember my dad kept hoping mchale, bird & parish would make a miracle & still win it all. they didn't, but alas, miracles do still happen (1969 baby!). and me dad and i are hoping for another one this season! Go celtics!! Wishing u the best from all your diehard fans here in the Philippines!

I'll be pissed if Pierce misses the opener. He's gotta play!
