Post-game Reactions

CelticsHub’s resident NBA Draft expert and Around The NBA Columnist Rich Keefe joined myself for the latest (and long overdue) edition of the CelticsHub.com podcast. Over this action packed 30 minutes, Rich and I start to piece through all the wheelings and dealings around the NBA both before and during draft night, as well as picking out our winners and losers from the proceedings.

We start breaking down the C’s draft picks at about the halfway point in JaJuan Johnson and E’Twaun Moore and discuss what they could bring to a 2011-12 Celtics roster. Should Boston have gone with Jimmy Butler? Would you have preferred Reggie Jackson? And what are the odds two college teammates get drafted by the same team? We break it all down here. You can listen by clicking the play button, or download the mp3 by clicking on the arrow on the right side.

Hey – is it possible to make these a subscription on ITunes? If you guys plan on doing more podcasts regularly (I hope!) it makes it easier to follow.

E'Twuan, that number 55 is really not a good omen. Have a look: http://www.basketball-reference.com/friv/numbers….

I heard today from an impeccable source in the front office that the C's have a deal ready the second the new CBA is signed.

The C's are going to sign free agent Sasha Vujacic to start at SG and trade Ray Allen to Sacramento for a couple of young bigs and draft picks.

Apparently Sac wants RA desperately to mentor Jimmer. Go figure.

    The rebuild has started.

    • LACelticFan

SAC has some nice young bigs, but I wouldnt do this deal. Wouldnt trade Allen for it, anyways.

    • I_Love_Green

      Good joke.

    • Celtics Freak

Now I don't think Danny is that stupid, look at all the crap he got for trading a less skilled player in Perkins

      • Deb

Definitely a joke–Ray Allen isn't going ANYWHERE. From a fellow Celtics Freak.

  • WhyDo_iBleedGreen

JaJuan Johnson is a fantastic pick, not because he they were able to land him, but because he will be able to learn from KG and develop skills and potentially can replace KG when he retires. Good Pick
E'twaun Moore is another pick that I really like, i believe he will not be Ray Allen's backup, but b he can fill in for players that may have injuries throughout the season, so it was a good pick to load up the team.
