The 2010-2011 NBA season tips off tonight with perhaps the most anticipated game in the history of the NBA. NBA fans are eagerly awaiting to see if assembling a group of superstars in the prime of their careers will redefine the league for years to come.
Consider this the first observation in the case study, and it will be a doozee. The Boston Celtics may be trying to downplay the excitement around this game, but make no mistake, the green team wants this one. They want to go out and show who the team to beat in the East really is.
The Celtics have begun each of the past three seasons the same way. In the long run, the Celtics know the regular season does not mean much. However, the Celtics have been the most successful when they have gotten off to a great start.
They are ready. Now you all need to be.
Consider this your open thread. What are you seeing? Are the Heat playing well together despite a disappointing Preseason? Does Kevin Garnett really look 100% back from his injury? Is Shaquille O’Neal able to hold his own on both ends of the floor?
Prediction: 96-88, Celtics win
