Post-game Reactions

That’s coming from a bunch of local reporters in Orlando, including in this piece on the Orlando Sentinel’s Web site, which identifies the arrested man as Willie Buie, 55, and says the C’s have yet to confirm Buie is related to Marquis Daniels:

It’s unclear what prompted officers to remove Buie from the arena.

When several other officers arrived to help, Buie continued to resist them. He was finally escorted out of the arena and to an area near the security office, reports show.

Once there, officers forced Buie to the ground and tried to handcuff him, a report shows. Buie kept his hands under his body and refused to be handcuffed, officers said.

That’s when an officer pulled out his Taser, put it up against Buie’s back and shot electricity into him for five seconds, the report shows. After he was stunned, Buie put his hands behind his back and was handcuffed.

Sounds like a crazy situation, with the important details unknown at this point.

Any amatuer Googlers want to see if they can find confirmation that Buie is Daniels’ father?

Hat tip: Deadspin.

Well… The article linked called him Quisy’s stepfather and state that the C’s have confirmed the relationship, and since he was born and raised in Orlando, him having family at the game really isn’t surprising. However… The “why” of all of this is really the more important thing. I guess we have to figure out what’s going on.

Special Buie is upset Quisy’s not playing enough… Sorry Buie

..the taser, the tweet, the wink…. ok folks, let’s focus on what happens in the court (that is, unless it happens to be someone shaggin the king’s mom, cause that is some good shizzat).

It wouldn’t surprise me if the cops were suspect, but I’m not going to immediately reach that conclusion just because the Magic are down 0-2. All I know is these cops love their tasers, I think that it should be a new requirement, that they get tased at least 10 times before they tase someone.

@urbeltic: Oi… Enough with the “sleeping with mothers” idea. Please. But you are right that what goes on on eht court is far more important.

@Zach: Wasn’t sure where to post this, but something I saw elsewhere that merited mention here:

Credit for Reddick’s mistake last night should be given to TA, who kept threatening to foul JJ, forcing him to keep his dribble. Clearly he thought the C’s were going to foul – up by 3 with 5 seconds left – and TA baited him into thinking for longer than he should have. Yes, it was still a dumb mistake, but TA had a big role in it.

  • VET

TA wasn’t even in the game.

  • What More Can I Say?

Yes he was. Subbed for PP when he fouled out.

@DeValanie…ok, sorry, I just can’t seem to help it. I’ll keep it to myself from now on.

    @What More Can I Say?

No he wasn’t. Finley subbed in for Pierce for shooting. The Celtics 5 was Rondo, Ray Allen, Finley, KG and Big Baby. It was Rondo who pestered Reddick. TA came in for defense after the timeout.

  • @VET and What More Can I Say

I don’t have visual proof of who was on Redick during that final possession, but in his interview, Doc said he was yelling at Tony to foul Redick… so I guess it must’ve been TA.

Watch the play, tell me where you see TA in the game? Or just tell me why TA would be in the game on an offensive possesion where we would want shooters in to space the floor? Its clearly Rondo who was guarding Reddick. I’m aware that Doc said it was TA in the postgame and I’m sure thats why “What More Can I Say?” made that statement too but the fact remains that TA was not in the game.
