Post-game Reactions

Reporting live from The Garden where Doc Rivers wrapped us his pregame session with the media. A few key notes from the Q and A, where Doc addressed his future with the team:

  • The Big Three will not play tonight
  • Kendrick Perkins will also not play (knee tendinitis)
  • Tony Allen, who is still suffering from a fever will also not play

By my math, that leaves the Celtics with 9 active players for tonight’s game, once you include new addition Oliver Lafayette.

The C’s other new signing, Tony Gaffney will not be able to debut in Green tonight, due to a holdup with paperwork from his club in Israel. He played with them last year, before suffering a foot injury. Bad news for the UMass alumni, who undoubtedly has plenty of friends and family in attendance.

My guess for a starting five

PG: Rondo
SG: Daniels
SF: Finley
PF: Davis
C: Sheed

Plenty more on the way, including a few quotes from Doc Rivers regarding his coaching future.

  • I love Green

Yeahh Oliver! He’s 2-2 right now with 4 points

  • I find it interesting that Doc felt the need to rest the big 3 plus Perkins since it’s been pretty clear that they have been resting for most of the season!!!
