Post-game Reactions

That’s what SI’s Ian Thomsen just Tweeted. Thomsen is at the Garden for the premiere of the HBO movie “Magic and Bird: A Courtship of Rivals.” Pierce is there too, and has told people (according to Thomsen) that he’ll sit for about a week to rest his injured thumb.

In case you couldn’t tell from my post earlier today, I think this is the right call—and an obvious call.

Over the next week, the C’s play:

vs. New York (tomorrow)

vs. Cleveland (Thursday)

vs. New Jersey (Saturday)

@ Detroit (Tuesday)

That’s a potential 3-1 stretch even without Pierce, and if it ends up being 1-3 instead of 3-1, fine. It’s more important to get the bodies as healthy as possible for May.

AT WORST we go 2-2. I’m okay with that.

We can win the NY and NJ games naked and blindfolded.

To quote myself from your earlier post “[H]ow about 8 days? He misses only 3 games (Knicks, Cavs, Nets).”
