Post-game Reactions

That’s what the Patriot Ledger is reporting

Rivers said Brian Scalabrine (ankle sprain) is likely out for the opener, and Tony Allen (off-season ankle surgery) is definitely out.

If Scal joins TA and Bill Walker on the inactive list for opening day, that means the C’s could have both Lester Hudson and J.R. Giddens on the active 12-man roster for Tuesday’s game at Cleveland.

I realize this is of questionable significance, considering neither is likely to get much playing time against the Cavs. But it may also be notable in a trivial way—they may not be on the active roster together again all season.

Also of note: The team doesn’t have to dress every player on the active 12-man roster, so it’s possible Hudson and/or Giddens will be in street clothes anyway.

Hey, if the C’s are up 20 in the 4th, maybe they’ll get a shot?
