Post-game Reactions

According to The Salt Lake Tribune, the Celtics are one of six teams interested in the availability of C.J. Miles.  Rumors suggest that he and Jerry Sloan do not get along and people were miffed when the Jazz matched the offer the Thunder made to Miles when he was a restricted free agent last year.

Miles could be a nice addition to the Celtics, coming off the bench to play either the 1, 2, or 3.  He’s a bit more polished than what the Celtics already have, but I’m not sure how much of a lift he would give us in the long run.  As long as this move isn’t a replacement move for a guy like Grant Hill or Matt Barnes, I’m all for it.

The Celtics would probably have to give up Brian Scalabrine in order to make the salaries work but that might not be a bad thing if they end up resigning Glen Davis.

I dont’ know much about Miles, but it is encouraging to hear someone else mention Matt Barnes. I think he’s a terrific guy to fill the Posey void (possibly even an improvement), and knows his role. We could still pick up Hill for a vet minimum, but I picture him choosing S.A. or Orlando (contender+climate). I like Barnes more than A. Parker, and he’s probably less expensive.
